to military use of Makua Valley and the proposed Stryker brigade at number
7.The
Advertiser's
list
of a dozen people to watch in Hawaii this year includes three of particular
relevance for Hawaiian issues: Stanton Enomoto, top staff member of the
Kaho'olawe Island Reserve Commission; Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, with the title
role in "Kamehameha" for Columbia-Sony, touted as "a Polynesian 'Braveheart' "
(though the picture has now been delayed until 2005 because of other commitments
and because of changes to the script written by Hawai'i's Greg Poirier); and
Kamehameha Schools' new CEO Dee Jay Mailer.
