No Place of Refuge - Hanalei Fergestrom's trial
Check out the
Hawaii Island
Journal's
article
on Hanalei Fergestrom's case: "A
seemingly simple traffic case has become a constitutional trial for Hawaiian
Sovereignty - and may have eroded the right to a trial by jury for all Hawaii's
residents."
(Update:
Note that I haven't even taken time to read the whole article yet, and Tane
points out that there is poor presentation of facts, a mishmash of different
information, and internal contradictions, and says the author needs further
education. So I'm not endorsing the article, just drawing it to your attention
so you can know it is there and read it for
yourself.)
