Cynthia Oi unintentionally makes the case why the idea of Hawaii's independence
is not that far-fetched. She shares several examples of how Hawaii is perceived
as a foreign country, from its newspapers being carried on the foreign section
of newsstands, to "nationwide" facts or statistics excluding the islands.
