In the
Star-Bulletin,
Burl Burlingame interviews
Hawaii writer Mark Hazard Osmun, author of the new novel
After the Bones,
historical fiction inspired by Mark Twain's
writings about Hawaii, "a rollicking adventure set largely in 1866 Honolulu, a
'Casablanca'-like den of foreign agents and provocateurs seeking to undermine
the Hawaiian kingdom when not double-crossing each other." The book is
self-published (order info at the bottom of the interview), but is "already
being considered for a feature film."
