Queen's Story play this weekend in Wailuku
I mentioned this
earlier when there was an article
in the S-B, but wanted to remind folks via this email I
received:Aloha kakou MEO
`Ohana,Tomorrow is opening night of
The Queen's Story! Friday night is almost sold-out. However, we still have a lot
of tickets available for Saturday and Sunday's
performances.On behalf on the B.E.S.T.
Reintegration Program, I humbly ask our MEO `Ohana to show your support by
purchasing tickets to The Queen's Story and encouraging your family and friends
to do the same. The men and women have been working for months - reading Hawai`i's
Story by Hawai`i's Queen, writing monologues that reflect their
personal stories of incarceration and freedom, and perfecting their hula - to
put on a performance that gives honor and respect to our beloved Queen
Lili`uokalani.Sold-out performances
will demonstrate that our community is committed to the successful reintegration
of our brothers and sisters leaving MCCC. The Queen's Story is about reflection
and transformation, and reconnecting with our community. We would love for you
to join us!Malama
