Paul Harvey RIP; The Rest of the Story: the overthrow of a friendly monarchy

icon Paul Harvey has passed away at age
90.
It is a good time to remember a very compelling story he did in 1993 on the anniversary of "the overthrow of a friendly monarchy." The audio file was originally broadcast on KNUI AM 900 in early January 1993. Uncle Charlie Maxwell taped the copy and with the permission of Paul Harvey, played it for the 45,000 people gathered at `Iolani Palace on January 17, 1993, the 100th anniversary of the overthrow.
"Now, the rest of the story. Away from the headlines and the television cameras, down in the shadowy realms where U.S. foreign policy shakes hands with the devil, there will forever be a fascination with the case that we're about to discuss, about a handful of Americans living overseas, acting independently perhaps and for their reasons, or perhaps the United States government did itself carefully, quietly engineer the overthrow of a friendly monarchy. The kingdom's queen surely suspected the latter..."
