a hearing tomorrow on some of the points in the controversial Arakaki
lawsuit challenging Hawaiians-only entitlements, deciding instead to

of Pahoa, who opposes the "Akaka Bill" for federal recognition, is suing
the Office of Hawaiian Affairs for using his picture in a brochure
promoting the bill.Hawaiian
sovereignty youth
movement, founded with the support of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs,
seeks to engage island youth in the process of becoming a Hawaiian governing
entity. Getting youth involved is great, but one hardly can trust OHA to give

status.Letters in the Advertiser
and Star-Bulletin
today about Kamehameha Schools' admissions policy, including one from
independence activist Richard Kinney that concludes
"Only the revival of the Hawaiian Kingdom
will put a stop to the stealing of Hawaiian
rights."
