Judge to Kamehameha Schools: admit non-Hawaiian student
For the first time ever, a judge
told Kamehameha Schools today to admit a non-Hawaiian student.
However, the ruling is based only on the timing of the schools’
last-minute decision to rescind its acceptance of the boy after discovering that
he lacked Hawaiian ancestry, and the article says "Ezra emphasized that he was
not passing judgment on Kamehameha Schools’ preference toward admitting
students of Hawaiian ancestry." That issue awaits a November 18 court
hearing. The larger issue of course is
the fact that Kamehameha Schools was founded by will of Princess Bernice Pauahi
Bishop under the laws of the Hawaiian Kingdom. Arguments of whether KS'
admission policy violates the U.S. constitution only come about based on the
long
string of historical frauds and deceptions that have created a mass
illusion that Hawaii is lawfully part of the United States. Kamehameha Schools
is one of the remnants of the Hawaiian Kingdom, of its educational system. The
question is not whether KS admissions are discriminatory, but what country's
laws are applicable.Perhaps the suit
will help awaken some in KS to the larger issue.
