Hee running for Congress, wants to lower HHL blood quantum

trustee Clayton Hee is running for U.S. Congress for the seat being left open by
Rep. Case. The articles notes that Hee has been a
vocal opponent of the Navy University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) at UH,

this:As for local issues, Hee said he would like to see adjustments to the 1920 Hawaiian Homes Commission Act. "I believe what will be very important is to lower the blood quantum for Hawaiians to be eligible for Hawaiian Home Lands," he said.
He said he would like to see those with 25 percent Hawaiian blood be eligible for leases on land now set apart by Congress for those who are at least half-Hawaiian. He said he also would like to to open dialogue on making the homesteads available for purchase.
