Judge postpones ruling in second Kamehameha case
The Advertiser provides
some more details on the two Kamehameha Schools admission policy cases, one of
which was dismissed by Judge Kay on Monday but will be appealed, and the other
of which was heard by Judge Ezra yesterday and will be ruled on in a couple
weeks, and likely appealed either way. "Kay's decision was greeted Monday with
jubilation from many in the Hawaiian community, who see Kamehameha Schools as a
gift from the legacy of the overthrown monarchy and thus as part of Native
Hawaiian claims." The Star-Bulletin
also discusses
the cases. And the Pacific Business News reports.
