Teruo Hasegawa writes a letter in the Advertiser: "The trustees will have to think long and hard whether they were serving the best interests of the Hawaiian people with their decision and they will also need to prepare themselves with the unpleasant task of providing some very convincing answers to some very angry people. Only time will tell whether their decision was an act of courage or a terrible blunder."
