Kahoolawe cleanup should continue
The Star-Bulletin has an article
on the turnover of Kahoolawe, and writes that "It will join a growing list of
areas that the military has been forced to abandon, such as Vieques in Puerto
Rico, because of political and other pressures." And their editorial
says "Governor Lingle as well as Hawaii's congressional representatives should
try to persuade the federal government to fulfill its promise to clear all of
the island..."
