I haven't had time over the last couple days to
post all the articles, editorials and letters about the proposed closure of the
Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, but this

covers the BRAC hearing in NH yesterday, and efforts locally to argue for
keeping the shipyard open. Also, in the

Kathy Howe says that closure could be seen an
opportunity.
Meanwhile, the Star-Bulletin reports that "The Navy has apparently postponed a decision to base a nuclear aircraft carrier at Pearl Harbor until next year, pending the outcome of a long-term, top-to-bottom Pentagon review of its military strategy."
