$354M approved for expanding occupation of Hawaii

reports:More than $354.2 million in military construction projects will come to Hawai'i under an appropriations bill approved by Congress yesterday.
The bill must now be signed by the president.
If the 16 military construction projects contained in the appropriations bill are combined with Hawai'i-based projects in another bill now before a House-Senate conference committee, Hawai'i could get as much as $838 million in military spending, not including payroll or day-to-day operations, according to a statement by Sen. Daniel K. Inouye, ranking member of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee.
