Aloha,
Your help is needed to stop U.A.R.C., a proposal for secret military weapons research at UH. Please take a moment to send a free fax urging the Board of Regents to uphold the formal decisions that clearly opposed a military classified research program known as a University Affiliated Research Center (U.A.R.C), at the University of Hawai'i Manoa. If necessary, your letter can be anonymous.
Just go to the following web address to participate:

And please come to the public "informational meeting" to testify against the U.A.R.C. in person. The meeting will be held on Friday, Jan. 20th from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Campus Center Ballroom on the UH Manoa Campus.
The U.A.R.C. must be stopped! University of Hawai'i officials continue to push for this secret military research program, despite repeated votes strongly opposing U.A.R.C. from all major constituencies at UH Manoa and the broad community, including the UH Manoa Chancellor, UH Manoa Faculty Senate, Kuali'i Council of Native Hawaiian Faculty, UH Faculty Union, the undergraduate student government, the system-wide caucus of student governments, and numerous community organizations.
We need your help now to make it abundantly clear to the Board of Regents and to the Interim President of UH that secret military research has no place at our public educational institution. We cannot allow our university to be commandeered by the military to create weapons of war and destruction.
