Economic Impact of Military in Hawaii
According to Pacific Business News, a report
from the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco says that
"Hawaii realizes the largest effect from
defense, with DOD spending totaling 9.4
percent of the state's GSP." And that: "This reflects the
large number of military personnel
stationed in Hawaii relative to its total
population." From the other point of view,
this represents evidence of the scale of the
illegal military
occupation of Hawaii. Download

Army Stryker brigade, the U.S. Navy is considering permanently basing
a carrier in
Hawaii. It would join 11
warships and 16 submarines now homeported at Pearl Harbor.
