Sierra Club asks for new Stryker impact study

News reports
that "the Sierra Club has asked that the Defense Department close some gaps in
its environmental impact study for Stryker Brigade expansion plans at Schofield
Barracks."Chapter head Jeff Mikulina
said, "We are concerned that the Army, the Pentagon and our elected leaders are
viewing the environmental review process for this project as a mere formality,"
and that "From Kahoolawe to areas on the Big Island, the military has a history
of inadequately cleaning up former training sites."
