Hawaiian language program grant

that the University of Hawaii at Hilo's Hale Kuamoo
program, part of the Ka Haka Ula O
Keelikolani College of Hawaiian Language, has won a three-year grant
through the Education of Native Hawaiians program. The program got $778,291
through Sept. 30, 2004, for the first year of the grant, which will be used to
develop early childhood curriculum for Hawaiian education to help students
become proficient in Hawaiian and English.
