Ho'ohanohano i na kupuna
When: Saturday, April 29, 2006
Where: Administration Building - Bachman Hall at University of Hawaii at Manoa: The corner of Dole Street and University Avenue. Parking is available at the parking structure in the quarry and also next to Kamakakuokalani for $3.00.
Time: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, followed by concert in Andrew's Amphitheatre by the Hawaiian Language Department
Na Kumuhana Nui - Focus
Our kupuna are under attack. Come to the University and find out why. Bring a pohaku that you would like to share in the building of an ahu that symbolizes our kuleana to our Hawaiian people
9:00 am -Blessing by Kumu John Keola Lake
9:10 -Symbolic passing of pohaku to the steps of Bachman
11:00 -Welcome and recognize honored guests
12:00 -Presentation by Halau Lokahi
1:00 -Presentation by Halau Ku Mana
2:00 -Guest speakers and musicians
4:00 -Closing and pule
Bring a sack lunch, some water, gloves to pass rocks and your ohana for an outstanding day!
