Treasure trove of artifacts discovered on Kaho'olawe

that "Archaeologists working alongside Kaho'olawe clearance crews have found a
treasure trove of artifacts, including roughly 650 more features than were
previously known to exist."And the
Star-Bulletin reports
on the upcoming workshops to plan the future of the island, and notes "Besides
determining the priority of restoration projects on Kahoolawe, the commission is
also trying to establish a process to eventually turn over the island to a
recognized native Hawaiian sovereign entity as required by state
law."
