Live call-in show on Hawaiian nationhood tonight
Reminder that the Office of Hawaiian Affairs is
planning a televised forum on Hawaiian
governance scheduled to be broadcast today at
7 p.m. on KHON-TV Channel 2 (and re-broadcast Oct. 25). OHA's website says "A
panel of Hawaiian community leaders will discuss issues of Hawaiian
self-determination and governance. Viewers will be welcome to call in
their opinions and questions for discussion by the
panelists."Panel members are OHA
Chairperson Haunani Apoliona; Attorney Bill Meheula; Kaui Naniole, President and
founder of Ke Au Hou; Mahealani Kamauu, Director, Native Hawaiian Legal
Corporation. Moderator is Edgy Lee.
Program will start with a 24 minute
video produced by students at Waianae High School Searider Productions which
covers Hawaiian history with interviews with the Governor, the Chair of OHA,
Nainoa Thopmson and Bill
