OHA (literally) covers up Apology Bill truth

An email from a colleague below... One thing amusing about it is that OHA put this Gorton quote about independence on the pamphlet in the first place. The quote appears in this same position on the Hawaii-Nation website page of the apology bill (which I created and maintain), showing that OHA probably just lifted the text of the bill from there, and either didn't even notice that it was included, or someone who supported independence there snuck it in without others noticing at the time. It has been circulating like this for years, and now they finally decide to cover it up.

As many of you know, the Nation of Hawai'i has been educating the tourists in Waikiki every Wednesday since January 13, 2004. We pass out the Apology Bill and answer any questions that are posed concerning Hawaiian issues. The response has been overwhelmingly positive and supportive with an occasional (1 out of 50) negative reaction to our "We Are Not American" signs.

OHA has been helpful in supplying us with their nicely printed version of the Apology Bill. Yesterday, as I was rereading the pamphlet I noticed that a new sticker had been placed at the end of the disclaimer. As I pealed it away, it revealed a very interesting cover-up.

The attached jpeg shows what was revealed under the New OHA sticker.

It seems that the New OHA Office is still finding New ways to deceive the people it is suppose to be educating and serving.
