Received via email from Royal Order of Kamehameha I- Hilo:

Aloha family and friends,

On Saturday, August 20th at 12 noon, there will be a Ku I Ka Pono March (March For Justice) in San Francisco, California. The march will be from the Ninth District Court of Appeals at San Francisco Civic Center to Mission/Delores Park. This march will be a sign of support of the Kamehameha Schools which is in court trying to defend its right to educate our Hawaiian children. This march is an invitation for you and all persons Hawaiian or non-Hawaiian who believe that the recent court decision is wrong. The march will be a further sign of Hawaiian unity and Hawaiian support. Please, come for yourself and for the Hawaiian People.

Continued with details in the extended entry.

The march is being sponsored by the Kamehameha Schools Alumni and the 'Ilio'ulaokalani Coalition, with support from our Kumu Hula (Hula teacher's), Hawaiian groups, supporters, and people of all walks of life.

There will be a Friday Night meeting to go over the chants and specifics for the march. That site is to be announced ASAP. Kumu Hula and supporters are coming in from Hawai'i to facilitate the march with us.

Many of us have attended the Kamehameha Schools and have directly benefitted from this Ali'i Trust. Many of us have not had that opportunity. But, we are still a benefitiary, and in the future, we should take advantage of the educational opportunities that Kamehameha School offers us. Walk with us with aloha for all those who have walked in the past. Walk with us into the future. Bring your body, bring your family, bring your flags, your honor, your integrity, your beautiful face, your shaka signs, your aloha, and let's walk the walk, and talk the talk.

Aloha,
Kumu Hula Paul Neves
