KS lawsuit solicitation, situations
Doug at Poinography notes yesterday's
Advertiser
update
regarding the Hawaii State Bar Association statement on "last week's flap
over a local attorney's e-mail about a possible new lawsuit concerning the
Hawaiians-first admissions policy of Kamehameha Schools." Doug says, "Basically,
the HBA punts, saying they are conducting a study to consider new rules about
solicitation of clients." He also notes a letter
from Jonathan Osorio (there are several letters on the topic yesterday), and
provides some reflection on the issue in relation to the current and future
rightward slant of the supreme court. There is also a long comment
from Rosen laying out different situations that he feels would justify a suit
against KS, "which are not hypothetical and have been related to me by real
people I have spoken with" he says. Head over there if you want to respond and
discuss...
