The O'ahu Conservation Land Manager
position will focus primarily on Waimea Valley and will be based out of OHA's
headquarters in Honolulu. The Hawai'i Island Conservation Land Manager will be
based in Hilo, Hawai'i Island and will focus on Wao Kele O Puna. Both positions
will assist in managing these areas in partnership with various community
groups, organizations, and government
agencies.
Qualified candidates will
have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major
in Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Studies, Hawaiian
Studies with an emphasis on resource management, or similar specialization.
Related master's preferred. Four years of progressively responsible experience
in the field of cultural or conservation/preservation land management; 1 of the
4 years must include personnel management
experience.
