Iraq occupation unrelated to democracy or
terrorism
In response to a June 4 letter, the United States is in Iraq for two reasons: to get control of the oil and to set up another puppet government. It has nothing to do with democracy or terrorism. It's oil!
The people who are exposing this idiot of a president and his cronies who are sending your friends, family, and all the young people in the military to their deaths should be thanked.
This is history repeating itself. This is Vietnam all over again, and Osama bin Laden will remain free by choice of the United States leadership. Iraq is just a diversion. As for their interim government, it will be overthrown. We have seen it happen in the Philippines, Iran and Iraq.
And when it's all said and done your gas bill may flatten out at $5 a gallon. You will never see $1.90 a gallon again, but the Cheneys and the Bushes will be even richer than ever, and your tax dollars will build them a library for their memoirs.
Deception, money, power and world domination is what American politics is all about. Look at our senior senator, he just sold out the Eskimos and Alaska isn't even his homeland. I'm sure his vote for drilling the Alaskan wilderness was a trade off for future votes for the Akaka Bill crap.
