IMPORTANT:

Permission to use the Bishop Museum grounds and facilities to hold the vigil has been requested in writing by 'Ilio'ulaokalani Coalition. The Bishop Museum has not yet responded. The vigil will proceed as planned, as it is our right and responsibility as Hawaiians to pule for the protection and care of our ancestors on Princess Bernice Pauahi's lands at Kaiwi'ula. In the event Bishop Museum officials decide not to allow the vigil to take place at the Museum, we may be asked to leave the Museum premises. Those who decide to leave and continue the vigil outside Museum grounds will be able to do so at that time. Those who wish to remain and continue the vigil on the premises are welcomed to do so with the knowledge that they may face the possibility of arrest. Each person is therefore responsible to decide his or her level of participation in the vigil. This will be a non-violent gathering. Information will be distributed to educate the public regarding hewa actions against Hawaiian culture by Museum Director William Brown and proposed corrective actions being sought from the Bishop Museum Board of Directors.

We ask participants to please bring a pot luck dish. No alcohol or drugs
allowed.

PLEASE JOIN US IN A COMMITMENT OF PRAYER AND SUPPORT FOR THE KAWAIHAE
