Fri - December 28, 2007Guest PopokiUpdate: Popoki pics have moved
here.
This week we have some guest popoki, the "ferals" Nancy Aleck (Hawaii People's Fund) takes care of. This is Muffin. And there's some bird stalking action in the extended entry. Posted at 09:24 AM Permalink Fri - December 21, 2007Pueo's perchOne of Pueo's favorite spots where she sits in
this funny position with her arms just dangling over the back of the
chair.
Posted at 06:35 AM Permalink Sat - November 24, 2007Fri - November 16, 2007Pueo perched atop the doorPueo gets up on a beam so she can look out our
bathroom skylight (in the background - see previous pic), and to
get down she jumps atop the bathroom door, which she is perched atop
here.

weeks, I didn't have a camera handy.
Here's Hiwa and Pili. Posted at 08:46 AM Permalink Fri - August 3, 2007Fri - July 27, 2007Fri - July 20, 2007Fri - July 13, 2007Fri - July 6, 2007Fri - June 29, 2007Xena as a kittenXena's turn... this red fuzzball was her favorite
toy.

from when they were just kittens. Here's Pili
(pre-rotund).

couldn't resist this shot of Pueo cleaning her sister
Pili.
Posted at 06:20 AM Permalink Fri - February 2, 2007Xena X2Haven't been posting the popoki pics much lately,
but as Xena was rubbing up against the corner of my computer, I thought this
would be
amusing...
(here's the photo post shown on the screen) Posted at 10:05 AM Permalink Sat - December 2, 2006Fri - November 24, 2006Hiwa's babaHiwa has this favorite blanket that Kekula calls
her baba. It was in the house when Hiwa was born, and somehow she got attached
to it. (Actually, she was born in the house we live in now, but before we lived
here, and later we ended up here, and she ended up back home.) She got attached
to this blanket when she was a kitten so it came along with her, and ever since
then it has been her blanket. She grabs ahold of it with her teeth and get this
funny look sort of staring into the distance and purrs up a storm and kneads the
heck out of it or whatever happens to be underneath it. She needs her fix every
so often. She can be incredibly demanding, and tells us when she wants her baba
and can't find it, so we find it for her and she goes at it until she's
satisfied. No other blanket will do. Silly
cat.

always dips her paw in the water and tastes it before she drinks from the bowl.
I'm not sure why but they all seem to love to drink out of this star bowl. Posted at 11:37 PM Permalink Fri - September 29, 2006Mon - September 25, 2006Hiwa cleaningI was busy Friday and most of Saturday helping to
move a house, which was quite an adventure. So anyway, belated popoki
blogging... here's
Hiwa.
Posted at 08:10 AM Permalink Fri - September 15, 2006Xena's yawnWith the delay on the (borrowed) digital camera, it takes a bit of luck to catch a shot like this. Posted at 11:12 PM Permalink Sat - August 26, 2006Pili and PueoBelated Friday Popoki blogging. This picture is
from before because I managed to get my camera stolen while traveling. Actually,
left it in a Budget rental car, and called a few hours after dropping it off and
they denied it was there. I am quite positive it was. So as far as I'm
concerned, the Budget staff just stole it. Lame. I won't be renting from Budget
any more. But anyway, here's da sistahs, Pili and
Pueo.

Kekula's desk and managed to get the yarn around her
neck.
Posted at 08:45 AM Permalink Tue - July 4, 2006Fri - June 23, 2006Water off a cat's backPili has always been a water cat. Here she sits
in the sink with the water running directly onto her back and filling the sink
underneath her. That is unique in my experience with cats. She also likes to
drink water with her paw, and regularly when I go into the bathroom she'll
immediately run in and jump in the shower and look up at the faucet and me and
meow until I turn the water on, and then sometimes she'll play with it almost
like a toy.
